In January 2020, the Quebec Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta launched its most ambitious philanthropic initiative ever. Throughout 2020, more than a dozen charity events will he hosted on and around campus to collect funds  for the Live Like Lou ALS foundation  Our goal of collecting $10,000 through this campaign distinguishes us as the most ambitious and philanthropic fraternity not only at McGill University but across Montreal as a whole.

The Quebec Alpha's 2020 Live Like Lou Charity Campaign

For what cause?

Our campaign is multifaceted. The funds collected will be split between two purposes: ALS research to find a cure and support to the families affected by the disease.

What is our goal?

We are committed to collect $10,000 over one year through multiple charity events and fundraisers.

How will we achieve it?

Starting winter semester 2020, our chapter and its brothers will host a plethora of fundraisers on campus and around Montreal to collect funds and spread awareness about ALS; in person and on our social media platforms.

How can you help?

We cannot achieve this ambitious goal without your support. To help us reach it, you can donate to our philanthropic initiatives, attend our charity events, and help spread awareness on social media. Please stay posted on our upcoming initiatives!

The Story Behind the Initiative
Volunteering & Fundraising

Phi Delta Theta brothers at McGill thrive in every single one of our philanthropic efforts. We are committed with both Santropol Roulant and the Bénévole Soup Kitchen in Montreal to volunteer on a regular basis. While helping out either one of these causes monthly, we give back to the community that has fathered growth within our chapter and its brothers for decades.

In addition to our monthly volunteering, our chapter dedicates all of its philanthropic events to our Iron Phi Charity Campaign, to be launched in January 2020, with the goal of raising $10,000 for the LiveLikeLou ALS Foundation as well as to fund higher education scholarships for students across the country.

This is truly only just the beginning. We are constantly on the lookout for new partnerships and fundraising opportunities to further our commitment to our community, as well as worthy causes from home and abroad.

All philanthropic events and fundraisers are led through our Philanthropy Chair's initiatives. For any inquiries on potential philanthropic partnerships, email us directly at
